WordPress Developer Opportunity – Join Our Team!

At Elegant Systems, we are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to join our team. As a vital member, you’ll play a crucial role in executing graphic and digital design projects, collaborating with our internal team of creatives, project managers, and the Creative Director. Together, we create seamless, impactful design experiences that harmonize user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes (paid and free), plugins and security 
  • Collaborating with designers, developers, business analysts and project managers to implement website features and functionality. 
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously and managing priorities effectively. 
  • Keeping websites secure and up to date with the latest patch, including regular backups. 
  • Analysing log files to assess and report user (internal and external) journey 
  • Adjusting and implementing user security based on their profile and business approval 
  • Creating new informational and landing pages as and when requested by business taking into consideration the best practices for SEO, security, and performance optimisation. 
  • Working on Jira tickets for projects and ServiceDesk tools for support requirements 
  • Implementing PoC in the test environment and deploying the same in Prod after business approval 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical support issues, ensuring timely resolution. 
  • Optimising website performance and ensuring responsiveness across devices. 
  • Adhering to project timelines and delivering high-quality work consistently. 
  • Providing technical guidance and support to team members as needed. 

Qualifications: 

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development. 
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL Database. Knowledge of other DBs will be a bonus. 
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins. 
  • Experience with custom theme and plugin development. 
  • Familiarity with responsive and mobile design principles. 
  • Familiarity with code release in different environments (Sandbox, Staging, Production etc.) using SVN/GitHub/Bitbucket trunking and branching 
  • Ability to come up with multiple solutions to address challenges, depending on project or support requirements but without compromising quality. 

Additional Requirements: 

  • A PC with at least an i5 processor and 8 GB RAM (if needed, we can/will provide a Virtual Desktop) 
  • A reliable broadband internet access from a reputable ISP (unfortunately we don’t allow our employees to work on Mobile hotspots due to security concerns and performance issues). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work on tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
